Below are artifacts of a few of my research endeavors.
Information Flow Diagram >>
After conducting a series of contextual interviews with stakeholders involved with the University of Michigan’s Campus Day event, I created an information flow diagram as a way to visualize how information was received, altered, and sent between various teams and departments at the University.
Affinity Diagram >>
As part of my Contextual Inquiry and Consulting Foundations course at the University of Michigan (SI * 501) in the fall of 2017, my three teammates and I conducted a series of contextual interviews with stakeholders at a local public library to get a better sense of issues that were present with their feedback collection methodologies. After converting our interview takeaways into affinity notes, we constructed an affinity diagram to get a holistic view of the problem at hand (and of other problems, too).
Customer Journey Maps >>
After conducting a series of contextual interviews with stakeholders involved with the University of Michigan’s Information Sessions & Tours, I created two customer journey maps as a way to visualize the experiences of freshman and transfer students at these events.
Honors Thesis >>
I conducted a heuristic evaluation and a cognitive walkthrough on a digital tutoring platform and wrote about the intersection between usability studies and writing center scholarship as my Honors Thesis in April 2017.
