Below are some examples of my work in design.

Design Prototype >>
As part of my Introduction to Interaction Design course at the University of Michigan (SI * 582) in the fall of 2017, I created a design prototype for an app that functioned as a controlled access entry system for an apartment complex.

MLA 8th Edition – Web-based Resource >>
I designed this document in the summer of 2016 to serve as a resource for the SVSU Writing Center about the changes to MLA formatting and citations in the eighth edition. Initially, I was tasked with updating the Center’s print handouts to reflect these changes. As tutors and students often rely on these handouts for accurate, easy-to-find information during sessions, it was imperative these handouts be designed in a way that not only supported the workflow of sessions but also helped students learn the rationale behind the new edition, which was designed to “rethink documentation for an era of digital publication”, which ultimately led me to create this interactive web-based document.

Valley Vanguard Stylebook >>
I designed this Stylebook as part of my Managing Document Design Projects course at SVSU (RPW * 481). As then-editor-in chief of the Vanguard, I needed a way to communicate to other editors and reporters the standardized format involved in journalistic writing.

TEDxSVSU Teasers >>
I designed this set of images as a way to “tease” the speakers who would be taking the stage at TEDxSVSU 2016, of which I was the program coordinator.

Short-term Study Abroad Program Yearbook (Excerpt) >>
I designed this Yearbook, which is about 150 pages in total, during my internship in the winter 2016 semester with the short-term study abroad director in the SVSU Office of International & Advanced Studies.

Quarterly Non-Profit Organization Newsletter >>
I designed this short newsletter for the Friends of the Bay City State Recreation Area.
